Sri Lanka won by 8 wickets (with 75 balls remaining)
player of the match

Jayasuriya and Tharanga started smashing from the word go and under pressure the England bowlers lost their way, it was a top notch partnership, one that will stay at the top of the record books for some time to come. They added 286 runs in just 31.5 overs and the rest was mere formality. None of the England bowlers were anywhere near their best and in the end it was nothing less than a massacre.

It was clearly a one-sided contest but one worth watching, to relive the entire match please read through Will Luke's bulletin
