7.00pm Good evening and welcome to our coverage of the major highlights from the third T20I between England Women and West Indies Women in Derby. The latest is that the toss has been delayed by rain. In potentially good news, however, a pitch inspection is scheduled to take place shortly. We'll keep you updated as soon as we know more.

7.10pm The umpires are out taking a look at the pitch now. They don't look overly comfortable with moisture levels on the ground so we may be looking at a reduced match. We'll keep you posted.

Anya Shrubsole is set to captain England with Heather Knight to miss the match following that hamstring injury she picked up during the previous game in Northampton last Friday.

7.15pm Oh dear, we have some rain falling, some umbrellas going up in the stands and the covers coming back on to the pitch. Looks like we'll lose overs here for sure.

7.45pm No call has been made on any possible abandonment as yet but we will have a reduced-overs match if, indeed, there is a match at all. We will let you know as soon as information is available.

7.55pm The rain has eased in Derby but the outfield is very wet given that it has been raining all day. Another pitch inspection has been scheduled for 8.30pm local time. We'll bring you any updates as they come to hand.

8.25pm More bad news, I'm afraid. The umpires are coming out at the scheduled 8.30pm pitch-inspection time but they're doing so under umbrellas with rain falling. I think we could get an abandonment.

8.28pm The match has been abandoned. England win the T20I series 1-0.

Not great news for anyone concerned really. West Indies would have been keen to take one last chance to salvage something from this tour, in which they lost the ODI series 3-0 and were defeated by 42 runs in the only one of the three scheduled T20Is with the first match in Northampton also abandoned because of rain.

England would also have been keen to have played another match ahead of the Ashes series, starting next Tuesday with the first of three ODIs in Leicester. The one-dayers will be followed by a one-off four-day Test and three T20Is.

England captain Heather Knight has declared she expects to be fit for the start of the Ashes series with her planned absence from this match a precautionary measure to ensure she recovers from a hamstring injury picked up in the previous T20I last Friday.

That's all from us for this evening. Thank you for joining us.
