Barbados Clubs: Fire Cup funds to be shared out

The Board of management of the Barbados Cricket Association
(BCA), has ratified the proposal of the sponsors to discontinue
the 1998 Barbados Fire and Commercial Cup competition.
The competition was halted when Cockspur Wanderers went to court
and it was only in march when the matter was concluded.
The unused prize money will now be distributed between the teams
that were still in the competition, as follows:
Losing quarter-finalists: BNB St. Catherine and Big B Spartan$1
000 each.
Quarter-finalists: United Carlton, Barbados Defence Force, Cable
and Wireless BET and BCL $2 000 each
Semi-finalists: ICB Empire, ESA Field Pickwick $3 250 each.
