Canada began the third and final day with a comfortable lead of 234 runs with 8 wickets in hand. Skipper John Davison and Hanindar Dhillon shared a 93 run third wicket partnership before Davison was caught off the bowling of D.Leverock for 78. His innings lasted only 87 balls but included 7 fours and 4 sixes.

Ashish Bagai joined Dhillon and the pair continued to take it to the visitors. Another 110 runs were by this pair before Bagai was caught and bowled by D.Leverock. Dhillon continued on and completed the second century of the Americas I-Cup competition (the first by Steve Massiah (USA) v Bermuda).

His century came off 138 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes. Canada declared their innings for the second time in the game at 250, this time for the loss of only four wickets.

With this batting performance, Canada had now secured 15 points and needed only 2 points to pass the USA in the points table.

Bermuda showed more determination the second time around.Skipper Clay Smith (63) for the third time in this competition had an innings, which ended in the sixties. Together with Oliver Pitcher (26) and Irvine Romaine (37), Smith made it difficult for the Canadians to get an outright victory.

When the fourth wicket fell at 83 Canada knew they were heading for Dubai but were still determine to press for an outright victory. Leg spinner Kevin Sandher and John Davison both bowled 31 overs each with Sandher having a very successful haul of 6/68.

Denis Archer (11), Ryan Steede 28, Jekon Edness (11*) and Kevin Hurdle (12*) all combined to frustrate the Canadians from obtaining a victory and when stumps were drawn Bermuda had a respectable total of 221 with only one wicket to go.

While their total was a 172 runs short of their target it was a well earned draw for Bermuda.

For his brilliant innings of 102 not out Hanindar Dhillon was named Man of the Match.
