De Bruyn appeals against ban

Pierre de Bruyn, the Easterns allrounder, has appealed to the South African board against his one-match suspension.

De Bruyn, along with HD Ackerman, was susepended for using crude and abusive language during the Standard Bank Cup match between Easterns and Gauteng at the Wanderers last Sunday.

Until the appeal has been heard by Judge Mervyn King, De Bruyn will be available to play for Easterns. The appeal date has not yet been set.
