Smriti Mandhana enjoyed a swashbuckling 2025 with the bat, scoring 1703 runs for India, 1362 of them in ODIs. Mandhana set new benchmarks not only in women's cricket but across genders. Here are her top records from the year:
1703 - Runs scored by Mandhana across international formats in 2025, the most by a woman in a calendar year, bettering her own tally of 1659 runs in 2024.
With 3362 runs over the last two years, she became only the fourth woman to complete 10,000 runs in international cricket. Mandhana is now the second-highest run-scorer in women's T20Is and the sixth-highest in women's ODIs.
1362 - Mandhana's ODI runs in 2025, the most by a woman in a calendar year. She became the first woman to score 1000 ODI runs in a calendar year, before Laura Wolvaardt (1174) joined her.
This also meant Mandhana ended 2025 as the leading scorer in ODIs, across genders, for the second consecutive year. She was also the most prolific ODI batter in 2024 with 747 runs in 13 matches.
Only once previously had a woman finished as the highest run-scorer in ODIs in a calendar year - England's Enid Bakewell with 271 runs in 1973. It was the year of the first cricket World Cup, and the top seven ODI run-getters were women.
50 - Balls Mandhana took to score her hundred against Australia in the third ODI in Delhi just before the World Cup. This was the second-fastest century in women's ODIs, behind Meg Lanning's 45-ball effort against New Zealand in 2012. It is also the fastest fifty for India in men's or women's ODIs.
It was one of Mandhana's five ODI hundreds in 2025, the joint-most by any woman in a year. Tazmin Brits and Wolvaardt also scored five each in 2025.
6 - International hundreds for Mandhana in 2025. Her sixth century came in a T20I against England, her first in this format. She became the first Indian and only the fifth woman to score hundreds in all three international formats, after Heather Knight, Tammy Beaumont, Wolvaardt and Beth Mooney.
Wolvaardt also has six hundreds in 2025 - five in ODIs and one in T20Is. Mandhana now has 17 hundreds across the three formats, the joint-most by a woman alongside Lanning.
61 - Difference between Mandhana's tally in 2025 and the 1764 scored by Shubman Gill, the highest men's international run-getter of 2025. This is the closest a woman has come to being the highest run-getter in international cricket in a calendar year. The previous closest was also Mandhana, with 1659 runs in 2024, when she finished 201 runs behind Kusal Mendis' tally of 1860.
Mandhana was the third-highest run-scorer in internationals in 2025, behind Gill and Shai Hope (1760). This is the best rank for any woman among the top scorers in international cricket in a calendar year. Mandhana and Wolvadaart had finished fourth and fifth, respectively, in 2024.
32 - Sixes Mandhana struck in ODIs in 2025, the most by a woman in a calendar year. Across all formats, she hit 39 sixes, another record in women's internationals, equalling Chamari Athapaththu's tally from 2024.
Mandhana now has 157 sixes across formats in her international career, the fourth-most by any woman. In 2025, she also went past Harmanpreet Kaur for hitting the most sixes for India, in both ODIs and T20Is.
1703 - All of Mandhana's runs in 2025 have come in ODIs and T20Is, as India did not play a Test match this year. These are the ninth-most runs by any player, man or woman, in ODIs and T20Is in a year.
Out of Matthew Hayden's 2223 international runs in 2007, 1903 came in the limited-overs formats, the most by any batter in a calendar year. Six Indian men occupy the seven places between Hayden and Mandhana in the list of most runs across ODIs and T20Is in a calendar year.
This was the second time Mandhana aggregated 1500-plus runs across ODIs and T20Is in a year, having scored 1501 in 2024. No other woman has even made 1400 runs in a year in limited-overs internationals.
Only four men have scored 1500-plus runs across ODIs and T20Is in multiple calendar years, all Indians - three times by Rohit Sharma and twice each by Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli.
