Andrew Flintoff has achieved his best ever all-round level in the LG ICC Test Rankings after his match-winning performance at Edgbaston. His outstanding performance with bat and ball moved him up ten places in the batting (to 25th) and two in the bowling (to 12th). Flintoff, already the top ranked one-day all-rounder, is now one good performance away from moving above Jacques Kallis to become the top-ranked Test all-rounder.
Kevin Pietersen, still a long way from qualifying for a full ranking having only played two Test matches, has moved up eight places to 44th in the batting.
Shane Warne has also gained points, and now has his highest bowling rating for three years. He has also returned to the top 100 batsmen (he is ranked in 100th place). Justin Langer was the only other Australian to move up the rankings after Edgbaston, gaining one place to go 14th.
