Adam Hollioake is competing in this year's London Marathon in his bid to raise as much money as possible for the CHASE Ben Hollioake Fund.
Surrey will match any money donated privately by members of staff to support Adam's endeavour on behalf of himself and the memory of his brother Ben, both former Surrey players.
The CHASE Ben Hollioake Fund raises money for life limited children and was set up by Adam in memory of Ben, who died in a car accident.
Hollioake will be joined by eleven others, who include his father, John and all 12 will be easy to spot, as they will be decked out in cricket pads, gloves and bats donated by Woodworm.
Commenting on what will be his first ever marathon, Hollioake said, "It will be really interesting trying to run 26.2 miles in cricket gear but I'll definitely give it a go. With Ben in my thoughts, something like this won't be hard at all, coupled with the fact that all monies raised will go towards creating a centre in South London that will enable expanded support for life limited children."
