India's quicks set a new benchmark in England

44.2- Strike rate of India fast bowlers in this series, is the best for any visiting team in a series in England in last 100 years. It is also the best striking rate for India pacers in any series outside Asia, excluding Zimbabwe.

Apart from Joe Root, all the other English batsmen in top four have averaged less than 20. Root had scored 80 runs in first innings of the first Test and only 66 runs in the next five innings.

205- Runs for Sam Curran in the series. He is already the second-highest scorer for England in the series though featuring in one Test fewer. In four innings, he has made two brilliant fifties and crossed 20 in the other two innings. In the first innings of this Test, he outscored the entire top six batsmen who combined for only 71 runs, with his 78-run knock. He has in fact scored more runs in this series than both the openers combined. Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings have aggregated only 191 runs in 12 innings.

1- This series is the first occasion of five India bowlers taking10 or more wickets in a series. Ishant Sharma has picked 13 wickets while Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya, R Ashwin and Mohammed Shami have 10 wickets each. Bumrah has been the best India bowler in terms with a bowling average of 16.80.

251- Wickets for Ishant in his Test career. He became the seventh India bowler to reach 250 wickets in Tests. He took 86 Tests to reach the landmark, which is the second slowest for any player. Jacques Kallis took 127 wickets to get the same. Among India bowlers, Zaheer Khan was the slowest, in 73 matches.

2014- The last time India went with an unchanged playing XI from the last Test, which was also in England. They had played the same XI at Trent Bridge and Lord's. They made changes in the next Test at Southampton and until the Southampton Test of 2018 they played 45 Tests and never played with the same XI. Virat Kohli lead India to 38 Tests without playing with an unchanged XI before this match.
