India v Pakistan ODI Series Put on Hold

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) today announced that it had not yet been able to confirm plans to host a three-match series of One-Day Internationals between India and Pakistan in this country in September.

The ECB's Chief Executive Tim Lamb, said: "Due to the continuing political tensions in the Sub-Continent, we have not yet been able to finalize arrangements for these fixtures with the respective Boards of Control and their Governments.

"The ECB's Management Board will consider the best way to proceed at its next meeting in March. In the meantime, talks between ourselves and both countries will continue and we remain hopeful that the series can go ahead as planned."
