At an unofficial meeting of the clubs of the Liverpool and
District Cricket Competition on Tuesday 14th September last, it
was decided to reverse the decision made earlier to be an ECB
Premier League in the year 2000.
In an about turn, here was a most emphatic 'NO' to the longer
game and to the addition of other clubs either by application or
from feeder leagues. That means there will be no place for Caldy
CC who, in June had been told they had been accepted for 2000, or
the winners of the feeder leagues, the Merseyside Competition,
the Manchester Association and the Southport and District League.
Existing playing conditions are to remain for the season 2000.
