Tom Moody, Worcestershire's director of cricket, has dismissed rumours linking him with South Africa's coaching position.
Ray Jennings, the current coach, is only under contract until May and there is speculation that his idiosyncratic methods might have alienated some members of the board. Moody has been linked by sources within South Africa as a potential successor, with some people claiming that he has already been interviewed for the role.
But Moody denied the claims. "It's one of those things," he said. "There has been some rumours but I have had no approach from South Africa. I am committed to Worcestershire."
Moody, who is contracted at New Road until the end of the 2005 season, has previously spoken before about his desire to coach an international side.
