Mushfiqur's love affair with Galle, Mendis eclipses an old record, century stands, and other statistical highlights from the third day of the first Test

101.75 Mushfiqur Rahim's average in Tests this year, with 407 runs in five innings. He scored 159 and 13 not out in Wellington, and 127 and 23 in Hyderabad, before adding another 85 in the first innings of this Test.
