An independent committee has named a 14-man Pakistan squad, captained by Nasir Jamshed, for the forthcoming Asia under-17 tournament to be held in India, Pakistan Times reports.
A new committee, comprising Colonel Naushad Ali, Abdul Raqib and Aaqib Javed, selected a new team after the previous committee's team composition was annulled by Shahyar Khan, the chairman of the PCB. Shahyar ordered re-trials of the original 45 probables, after doubts were cast on whether the team was selected on merit.
The squad is scheduled to arrive in Bangalore on January 16, and will play their first match on January 19.
