New ICC web site goes live

The ICC has relaunched its web site with a revised format, added content and access to new information made available from ICC records for the first time

The ICC has relaunched its web site with a revised format, added content and access to new information made available from ICC records for the first time.
www.icc.cricket.org went live at midnight on Wednesday 7th February. The site is hosted by CricInfo, which also hosted its original web presence and has worked with the ICC on the design and content of the relaunch project.
Entry to the site is through a striking home page featuring the ICC logo. This lists nine major subject areas which are reached by clicking on the cricket ball icon. These cover:
About the ICC Members ICC Anti-Corruption Unit
Latest News Development Tours & Tournaments
Referees & Umpires Rules & Regulations Picture Library
Latest News is the media page, containing news releases and statements with an archive section listing all previous ICC media releases back to 1998.
The ICC Anti-Corruption Unit and Tours & Tournaments pages are additions to the site while other sections contain much new material, particularly the Development Program. This will post weekly news from around the Development world, provide updated tournament plans and details and also introduce a Spirit of Cricket section.
The Tours & Tournaments section will contain full details of the 10 year ICC Future Tours Programme, when approved by the Executive Board. It also lists the major tournaments organised by the ICC including the World Cup, ICC Knock Out, Under 19 World Cup and ICC Trophy.
Information made available for the first time includes the complete listing of all ICC penalties imposed for breaches of the Code of Conduct, going back to 1992. This can be located in the About the ICC section and will be updated on a regular basis.
The site can be reached direct at www.icc.cricket.org or by clicking on the ICC logo within the CricInfo home page.
