Ken Rutherford (c), Bryan Young, Blair Hartland, Steve Fleming, Mark Greatbatch, Shane Thomson, Adam Parore (w), Matthew Hart, Chris Pringle, Danny Morrison, Simon Doull, Dion Nash.

Steve Fleming (Canterbury) will make his debut. Adam Parore (Auckland) and Dion Nash (Otago) are new this season but both have played for NZ before.

Chris Cairns is unavailable bcause of his knee injury. Andrew Jones has retired. Keeper Tony Blain has been dropped. Simon Doull's selection is subject to a fitness test.
