Pakistan's list of injuries continues to grow with all-rounder Abdul Razzaq and opening batsman Taufiq Umar the latest casualties.
With just over five weeks to go before the World Cup begins in South Africa, it now remains to be seen how quickly Razzaq and Taufiq recover to take their places in the 15-man squad for the biggest one-day tournament starting from February 9.
Razzaq, the all-rounder, was forced to withdraw from the squad on the eve of the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town with an ankle injury.
Taufiq, meanwhile, apparently twisted his right knee when he came on to bowl his part-time off-spin prior to the tea break on Thursday. He was subsequently helped off the field without sending down a ball.
Pakistan's skipper Waqar Younis is also nursing injuries sustained during the first Test.
