KARACHI, March 23: Pakistan will face India tomorrow in their first
clash of the tri-nation one-day series at Jaipur. Pakistan will be
playing without the services of off-spinner Saqlain Mushtaq who was
suspended for one fixture by match referee Cammie Smith for disputing
the umpire's verdict in Pakistan's opening tie against Sri Lanka on
March 19 at Jamshedpur.
The Pakistani team will have the advantage of morale boosting wins in
the recently concluded Asian Test Championship against India and Sri
Lanka. In fact Pakistan were the only team to have won a Test and
that too against India at Calcutta.
They later beat Sri Lanka at Lahore and finally at Dhaka to become
the Asian Test Cricket champions.
In their opening one-day tie Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by nine runs.
Following is the schedule of the remaining one-day tri-angular series
matches :
Visakhapatnam: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka March 27
Pune: India vs Sri Lanka March 30
Mohali: Pakistan vs India April 1
Bangalore: Final April 4.
