Spiring loses four-year battle to beat knee trouble

Worcestershire batsman Reuben Spiring has been forced to retire at the age of 26 after losing a four-year battle to overcome knee problems.

Spiring, the son of former Liverpool footballer Peter Spiring, has had seven knee operations since the problem flared up in 1997.
