Royal'S skipper Thushan Amerasuriya and Muditha Maduwantha of D. S.
Senanayake College received tremendous support in the All-Island
Contest and Kasun Bulathsinghala of Maris Stella Negombo had many
votes coming his way in the Outstation Contest in the Observer-Bata
Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer Contests after count on coupon number
seven.
In the Most Popular Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year Contest, Thushan
Amerasuriya leads with 1,588 votes, while Muditha Maduwantha too came
into the 1,000-vote mark. In fact, Maduwantha went over the 1,000-vote
mark and is close behind second placed Eashan Abeysinghe of
Ananda. Abeysinghe has polled 1,179 votes and Maduwantha 1,125 votes
after count number seven.
In the Outstation Contest, Kasun Bulathsinghala of Maris Stella
received quite a heavy pool has leads with 1,374 votes and there does
not seem anyone is capable of challenging him at the moment as second
placed Thushara Madanayake of Kingswood has only 302 votes while Ishan
Mutaliph also of Maris Stella has 249 votes after count on coupon
number seven.
