Tendulkar opts out of Challenger Trophy

Rahul Dravid and Md Azharuddin have been named captain of India XI and India A for the Challeger Trophy tournament to be played in Ahmedabad from Feb 10 to 13. The Karnataka player was named captain after Sachin Tendulkar opted out of the tournament. Tendulkar has been replaced by Orissa opener Shiv Sundar Das and Delhi's Ashu Dani replaces Ganguly who withdrew from the India A team. The selectors named Azharuddin as the captain of India A in place of Ganguly.
