The leading decision makers in world cricket will gather in London next week when the ICC hosts its annual round of meetings from 15th to 20th June at Lord's Cricket Ground.
High on the agenda will be:
- the change of ICC President as Malcolm Gray's three-year tenure comes to an end and the nominee of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Ehsan Mani takes over the role
- Global Cricket Corporation's compensation claim following the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003
- the volume of international cricket
- proposals on how to most effectively consult with player representative bodies
- applications for membership from five new countries.
The meetings at Lord's will conclude with an open forum on Thursday 19th June that will be addressed by the new ICC President Mr Mani and ICC Chief Executive Malcolm Speed. Both addresses will deal with the state of the game. Mr Mani and Mr Speed will then be available at a media conference to be held at 4pm on the same day.
The schedule begins on Sunday 15th June with a two-day meeting of the ICC's Cricket Committee - Management.
This is followed by a gathering of the ICC's 27 Associate Members which for the first time includes five representatives of the 47 Affiliate Members.
On Wednesday 18th June the ICC's Executive Board will convene for its second meeting of the year.
The next day all of the delegates will meet for the Annual Conference. This meeting will mark the end of Mr Gray's three-year tenure at the helm of cricket's governing body with Mr Mani taking over as President for the next two years.
Pakistan-born Mr Mani will be the third ICC President since the new ICC constitution was ratified in 1997.
Matters in London conclude on Thursday afternoon with the second annual ICC Cricket Business Forum, providing ICC stakeholders with exposure to a range of presentations and workshops targeted at furthering their cricket knowledge.
This year the Forum includes speeches from Mr Mani and Mr Speed, a presentation from ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 organiser Chris Dehring and a debate on the use of technology to assist umpires in decision-making.
The Board of ICC Development International Ltd (IDI) - the commercial element of the ICC - then moves to Monaco to discuss financial and commercial issues on Friday 20th June.
