It took Banks just 56 minutes to brush aside Maple's lower order and
record an easy innings victory early on the final day.
Left-arm spinner Anderson Sealy warmed up for the West Indies Under-19
tournament by taking six for 84 off 19.4 overs; and former Barbados
spinner Reid grabbed two for 36, for a match haul of nine for 79, as
the home team completed an easy triumph.
Maple resumed on a precarious 78 for five, still 143 behind, hoping
for big innings from their tail-enders.
The overweek batsmen, left-handed Kregg Burgess on 34 and Anthony
Hurley on 10, who had come together with the visitors 56 for five,
carried the score to 93 before Hurley groped at left-armer Anderson
Sealy and was caught at slip for 22.
All-rounder Donovan Lopez, who filled the breach, was in an aggressive
mood, slamming three fours before giving an easy catch to cover off
Winston Reid.
Lee Williams then became the silent partner with Burgess who passed 50
with six fours off 80 balls in 97 minutes, as they added 36 for the
eighth wicket.
But then Burgess who had grown in confidence gave a simple return
catch to Anderson Sealy after scoring 69 off 94 balls in 111 minutes
of batting, his best score to date for Maple, but it was not enough,
the visitors losing their last three wickets without addition.
