World cricket stars to play in Marshall's honour

A collection of the world's finest cricketers will take part in unique
charity match in London on Thursday to honour the late Malcolm
Marshall.
And all proceeds from the day will go towards the Mali Marshall Trust,
a fund set up to support Marshall's widow Connie and seven-yearold son Mali.
More than 20 cricketing greats, including no less than 10 former Test
captains will take part in the specially arranged match between a
Malcolm Marshall XI and an International PCA Bunbury XI at the
Honourable Artillery Company Ground.
Captained by Sir Vivian Richards, the Marshall XI includes Gordon
Greenidge, Desmond Haynes, Clive Lloyd, Jeff Dujon, Joel Garner,
Michael Holding, Courtney Walsh and Curtly Ambrose.
The International XI will include former England captains Graham
Gooch, Mike Gatting and Alec Stewart as well as Wasim Akram andShane
Warne.
British Airways will sponsor the trip of some of Marshall's familyand
friends.
'British Airways is proud to take part in an event commemorating the
life of one of the world's greatest cricketers,' said Marilyn Copper,
sales manager for British Airways.
'We're happy to have the opportunity to participate in any way
possible in this worthwhile occasion.'
The match will be aired live on Channel 4 and one of the major
attractions will be the humorous commentary of Rory Bremmer.
