The Extraordinary General Meeting of the BCCSL

The Extraordinary General Meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka was convened at BCCSL head quarters no 35 Maitland place Colombo 7.The following resoulation were adopted at this meeting with the member clubs and Associations of BCCSL giving and overwhelming mandate for adoption for the said resolutions.

"The Executive Committee of the BCCSL at their meeting held on 6th August 2003 unanimously resolved to convened an Extraordinary General Meeting of its members on 14th September 2003 to complete the balance items on the agenda of the 53rd AGM scheduled to have been held on 31st March 2001 as per rule 21 of the constitution of the BCCSL, as listed below"

a)
I Confirmation of minutes of the Annual General Meeting & Election of the Board of control of Cricket in Sri Lanka held on 11th June 2000.
II Confirmation of minutes of the Extraordinary General Meeting of the Board of Control for Cricket in Sri lank held on 17th September 2000.
b) Tabling and adoption of the Annual Report of the BCCSL for the period ended 31st December 2000.
c) Tabling and adoption of the Auditors' Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 31December 2000.
d) Appointment of Hony. Recorder
e) Appointments of Auditors
f) Application for membership

a)"To quantify the damages caused to the board control for cricket in Sri Lanka by way of financial loss, loss of opportunity, and its image, through a special audit for the period 28th march 2001 to 5th June 2003".
and
b)" To take appropriate action against those who were individually or collectively responsible for mismanagement, misconduct or misappropriation of funds and affairs of the board of control for cricket in Sri Lanka if any".-

"The rule NO1 of the constitution of the board for cricket in Sri Lanka is amended as TITLE" SRI LANKA CRICKET shall be hereinafter referred to as "The Board" and Wherever appropriate the name and style of the `Board of Control for Cricket in Sri Lanka' be replaced with the name "SRI LANKA CRICKET".
Were enormously voted 111 in favour

"To register under the register of companies, a charitable entity as commercial arm of the SRI LANKA CRICKET (BCCSL) under section 21 of the companies Act No 17 of 1982. This company which will be under the patronage of Sri Lanka cricket will be known, as Sri Lanka Cricket Incorporated"
and "The Board of Directors of then said Sri Lanka Cricket Incorporated, shall consist of the following:

• The elected President of Sri Lanka cricket (BCCSL);
• The two (2) elected Vice Presidents of Sri Lanka cricket (BCCSL);
• The elected Honorary Secretary of Sri Lanka Cricket (BCCSL);
• The elected Honorary Treasurer of Sri Lanka Cricket (BCCSL);

The under mentioned permanent employees of Sri Lanka Cricket (BCCSL) and the representative of the Ministry of Sports shall be nominated to the board of Directors but shall not have voting rights.

• The Chief Executive of Sri Lanka Cricket (BCCSL);
• The Chief Finance Officer of Sri Lanka Cricket (BCCSL);
• The Head of Marketing of Sri Lanka Cricket (BCCSL);
• A Representative of the Ministry of Sports"
