Billy Taylor in talks with Hampshire

Hampshire Cricket are currently talking to Billy Taylor in an attempt to secure his signing for the 2004 season. Southampton born 27 year-old Taylor who recently turned down a new contract with Champion county Sussex, played for Hampshire's 2nd XI in 1995 and 1997.

"Billy Taylor is a wholehearted cricketer who has improved a lot during his time with Sussex", stated Tim Tremlett, Hampshire's Director of Cricket, "He is a bowler who is always willing to learn and he is looking for a new challenge in the hope of playing regular first-team cricket."

He has also played Southern League cricket for Winchester KS as recently as 2003 season, alongside his brothers Jimmy and Martin.
