Sachin Tendulkar has been ruled out of India's match against West Indies on Wednesday after coming down with a bout of food poisoning. India must win this match by a sizeable margin to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the ICC Champions Trophy semi-finals, though their fate rests on the result of the match in Centurion, where Australia have Pakistan restricted to 205 and need only a point to qualify.
India are already missing the services of Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag and Zaheer Khan in this tournament. They also dropped Ishant Sharma and brought in Dinesh Karthik and Abhishek Nayar as replacements.
