Nathan Coulter-Nile, the Delhi Daredevils fast bowler, and Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Nic Maddinson have been ruled of IPL 2014 with injury. The IPL technical committee has allowed the franchises to look for replacements for these players. Chennai Super Kings, too, could look for a replacement for the injured Dwayne Bravo, the committee said.

Coulter-Nile took 2 for 27 against Kolkata Knight Riders on April 19, before injuring himself three deliveries into Daredevils next match, against Super Kings. He hobbled off after hurting his leg while sliding to stop the ball. Maddinson opened the batting for Royal Challengers in two games, scoring 4 and 12. Bravo, who was one of five players retained by Super Kings, hurt his shoulder while attempting a catch on the boundary in the team's first match, against Kings XI Punjab.

According to the IPL player regulations, the three franchises can choose replacements from among the players who registered for the 2014 auction but were not bought.

RCB shd sign either d hussey or a mahmood, and DD shd go with k abbot, v philander, k oberion

RCB have already made a call on Rossaouw, an U-19 Lefthanded bat to replace maddinson, Mumbai have got Simmons instead of Saxena. Eyes on CSK and DD...CSK might not need any player at all! But DD definitely needs a cover for CoulterNile, has to be between Nannes/Bollinger/Philander/Lee/Mclaren/Pattinson/Tahir

@UMASHANKARCOOL A.Mohammed is Good option for RCB. He can replace neither C.Gayle or A.Morkel based on availability / form. Also he is more experienced and a cool customer at crunch situation that is more essential to RCB now.

@Sharath Mammen Well said Mate. Rusty will be an excellent option for DD and the deadly verity. All the Best DD.

@Zahir Aslam Good suggestion for Chennai. Wright or Philander or Mc Laren would be ideal as concern with Faf form CSK may not persist with him for long. Believe he will be back to form in India. If not, CSK needs a player to play in middle order / lower middle order with hard hitting.

CSK in Batting Order 1. B.McCullam,2. D.Smith,3. S.Raina,4. (i)M.Manhas / (ii)B.Aparajith,5. R.Jadeja,6. MS.Dhoni7. (i)L.Write / (ii)R.Mc Laren / (iii)V.Philender (Based on form),8. R.Ashwin,9. I.Pandey,10. M.Sharma,11. S.Badree

R.Jadeja can be tried to bat ahead of MS.Dhoni with freedom since now a days caption ship caught up his mind with responsibility. This leads to some incomplete shots. IPL 2014 yet to test the CSK middle order as the openers and bolwers played exceptionally well. In reality CSK is a team which does not stick to one order and used to shuffle things based on situation.

Samuels is the best option for CSK.. He can be a good replacement for Faf, who is not doing good job in the middle order. Also Samuels will bowl death overs.. CSK... Go with Samuels....

csk needs a powerful fast bowler who can bowl well in the death overs and he should be able to produce some hard hits with bat...so i think vernon philander will be the best option...he can bowl at good pace and bat after jaddu n before aswin..the playing xi like: mac.smith raina.msd.faf.manhas.jaddu.philander.aswin.mohit.iswar

From my view any of them can chose any of these players Jos butler, Craig Kieswetter, Kusal perera , steven finn , stuart broad, tim bresnan, Alex hales, luke wright, Ryan Mclaren and Myburgh . Do you guys agree for these players.

CSK dont need any spinners or pure batsmen. A fast bowling all rounder gives us options in case Hilfy or Faf need to be replaced. Wright or Philander or Mc Laren would be ideal. If however we need an quicky - then Kemar Roach, Bret Lee it has to be. Radical choices : Jesse Ryder, RP Singh, Marlon Samuels !!

CSK - Theron,McLaren and McClenaghan could be good buys, Theron and McClenaghan as a back up for Hilfenhaus and Praveen Kumar could be a very good buy as he is an Indian Pacer.Brett Lee though he is over aged he is experienced and could be a great 1 year option.Or Pankaj Singh could also be good as he is a work horse and Nehra won't be picked any more so Pankaj Singh could be a good replacement for Ishwar or Mohit. RCB-Should go for Badrinath as they lack someone who can steady the ship. DD - Should go for an allot under like McLaren or Mahmood or even van dee Merwe
