Jonty Rhodes and Gary Kirsten, former South African cricketers, have been included in a ten-member committee appointed by Cricket South Africa to ensure the best possible preparation for South Africa ahead of next year's World Cup in the West Indies.
Besides Rhodes and Kirsten, the other members are Mickey Arthur, South Africa coach and chairperson, Gerald Majola, Cricket South Africa's chief executive officer, Vince van der Bijl, High Performance manager, Vincent Barnes, national assistant coach, Corrie van Zyl, former national assistant coach, Graeme Smith, South Africa captain, Haroon Lorgat, convenor of selectors, and Aslam Khota, media specialist.
"Committee members were chosen for their experience in different fields of expertise", Lorgat was quoted in a media release. "The committee will meet regularly to ensure that all relevant stakeholders are involved in this preparation programme for the World Cup including coaches, ground staff and administrators.
"We will leave no stone unturned in providing the team with the best possible preparations for the World Cup".
It was also announced that the South African squad for the tour of Sri Lanka will attend a three-day training camp from July 15-18 at Cricket South Africa's High Performance Centre at the University of Pretoria.
