On a tough track, Australia's top order had guided them to 128 for 1 with both Ricky Ponting and Michael Hussey well set. The platform was laid, but a double-strike - Ponting and Cameron White fell in the space of 10 balls - deprived them of momentum.
It was a similar situation with India. After a solid start, three quick top-order wickets left them in a dicey situation. They slipped from 37 for 0 to 53 for 3, chasing a difficult 230 on a wearing pitch.
The asking rate was inching towards six after 33 overs, when Yuvraj Singh decided to open out. He ransacked 24 runs off the next two overs to permanently swing the momentum towards India and put them on the way to a 2-1 series lead.
