On a pitch the polar opposite of the slow turners in St Lucia, Pakistan weathered Rampaul's opening burst of three wickets in his first two overs (and a fourth in his sixth), and secured the series at the earliest opportunity. When Pakistan were 12 for three after 19 balls, and later 49 for four, it seemed West Indies might be saved in spite of another limp batting performance - but they were thwarted by the sensible assurance of Misbah-ul-Haq, and his stand of 78 with Hammad Azam. Bishoo caused a few more flutters with three quick wickets to leave Pakistan tottering at 148 for seven with less than ten overs remaining - morning rain had reduced this to a 45-over match - but Misbah was entrenched, and Wahab Riaz clouted two sixes to ensure victory. Earlier, West Indies had again faltered against spin: after Simmons and Darren Bravo had put on 86 for the second wicket, the last eight tumbled for 53.
