South Africa A needed just over 12 overs to knock off the 55 runs they needed for victory on the fourth day of their match against Zimbabwe A. Abraham de Villiers, 64 not out overnight, added 20 runs to his score before giving a return catch to Waddington Mwayenga.
Ashwell Prince (39 not out) and Neil McKenzie (10) motored on to complete an efficient victory, putting South Africa A 1-0 in the two-match series. The second four-day game begins on August 17, and will be followed by three one-day matches.
