South Africa win Africa Cup

The South African team led by captain Ahmed Amla of KwaZulu-Natal beat Botswana in the final of the Africa Cup in Lusaka, Zambia, yesterday to take the tournament trophy

The South African team led by captain Ahmed Amla of KwaZulu-Natal beat Botswana in the final of the Africa Cup in Lusaka, Zambia, yesterday to take the tournament trophy.
South Africa bowled Botswana out for just 38 runs to win the final by 270 runs and to bring home the Africa Cup.
"There were three major benefits for South African cricket at this tournament," said UCB CEO Gerald Majola today. "Firstly, the South African team won handsomely, and they are the proud champions of Africa. Secondly, it has given this young team that was chosen from across the South African spectrum the chance to play international cricket together and to build for the future. And thirdly, it was most meaningful to participate in a tournament that is a vital part of the drive to make Africa a major cricketing continent," Majola added.
