The BCB XI chose from 12 players and the South Africans 14 for this 20-over game. Free entry meant a packed stadium and, after the authorities closed the gates, three children were injured attempting to scale a wall. The South Africans gave nine players a bowl, and bundled the Bangladeshis out for 99. The home side picked up their only wickets when Quinton de Kock and A. B. de Villiers (25) retired out after hitting 64 in seven overs.
