Rain wiped out Pakistan's hopes of a first one-day series whitewash for more than three years - though defeat would have left them further adrift of eighth place in the race for the last spot at the Champions Trophy. They were well served again by Azhar Ali and Mohammad Hafeez, who put on 115 in the first 20 overs, but Sikandar Raza's part-time off-spin unsettled the middle order, and three run-outs did not help. It took a mature fifty from debutant Babar Azam and two sixes from Anwar Ali to lift Pakistan towards 300. Sibanda and Chibhabha then raced to 62 in eight overs, suggesting another close finish. But floodlight failure and a dust storm forced the players off, and just one more over was possible before drizzle ended play for good. Soon afterwards, the Zimbabweans were boarding their bus for the airport
