Zimbabwe v Pakistan, 2015-16

Wisden's review of the second Twenty20 International, Zimbabwe v Pakistan, 2015-16

15-Apr-2016
Second Twenty20 international At Harare, September 29, 2015. Pakistan won by 15 runs. ‡Pakistan 136-6 (20 overs) (Umar Akmal 38*); Zimbabwe 121-7 (20 overs) (S. C. Williams 40*, Sikandar Raza 36). MoM: Umar Akmal. MoS: Imad Wasim.
Rarely can successive games have followed such similar patterns. Pakistan matched their total from two days earlier, this time indebted to Umar Akmal's 28-ball 38*. Zimbabwe's bowlers again looked disciplined, but their batsmen floundered against an attack who must have felt at home: on a dry, slow pitch, the chase never really started in earnest. From 24-4 in the seventh over, Sean Williams mistimed his way to 40*, while Sikandar Raza largely mis-slogged 36 - but seamers Sohail Tanvir and Mohammad Irfan were too cunning, and Imad (4-0-14-1) almost impossible to get away.
