A review of the second T20 international, India v England, 2012-13

At Mumbai (Wankhede Stadium), December 22, 2012 (floodlit). England won by six wickets. Toss: England. Twenty20 international debut: J. E. Root.
Morgan's huge straight six off Dinda into the second tier of the Wankhede's North Stand sealed a pulsating final-ball victory for England and a share of the series, and rounded off their highest successful Twenty20 run-chase. The target of 178 - more than India had ever failed to defend - had been whittled down to 15 off seven balls, which became nine off six when Buttler launched Parvinder Awana back over his head. The first five deliveries of a protracted final over yielded six of them, leaving England needing three to win off the last, and two to force an eliminator over. But Morgan shaped to play a ramp shot, prompting Dinda to pull out of his delivery, and the ensuing delay cranked up the drama, testing the nerve of both men: Morgan held his, Dinda did not. Dhoni's sixth wicket stand of 60 with Raina in 27 balls had helped set an imposing target. But Lumb's fifty, his first in Twenty20 internationals, laid the foundations, before he became the first of three victims for Yuvraj Singh, who improved his career-best figures in the format for the second time in three days.
Man of the Match: E. J. G. Morgan. Man of the Series: Yuvraj Singh.
