Zimbabwe v West Indies 2007-08
Match reports, Zimbabwe v West Indies, 2007-08
15-Apr-2008
Man of the Match: J. E. Taylor.
An imposing total looked likely as Sibanda and Masakadza compiled an opening stand of 167,
a record for Zimbabwe in one-day internationals, surpassing the 161 of Andy and Grant Flower
against Bangladesh in Nairobi in 1997-98. But once they were separated in the 37th over only
Brendan Taylor (26*) reached double figures, as his namesake Jerome took five for 19 in 29 balls.
Devon Smith fell to the first ball of the reply, but with Morton maintaining his good form - helped
by being dropped twice during an undistinguished fielding display - West Indies clinched the series
with three overs to spare.
