A talented batsman from South Australia, Craig Bradley played in the Australia Under-19s team alongside future stars such as Craig McDermott, and he made a century against Pakistan at the WACA. However, it was in Australian rules football that Bradley became a champion, playing 98 games for Port Adelaide and then a club record 375 for Carlton in the AFL after he moved to Victoria. Cricket took a back-seat to football, although he still found time to play two Sheffield Shield games for South Australia in 1983-84 and two for Victoria in 1989-90.
