36.1 to Misbah-ul-Haq, Misbah falls, trying to force the pace. He went down the track and tried to clear the length delivery over mid-off but didn't connect well. Styris pouches it at mid-off. 150/4 43.4 to Mohammad Hafeez, Fine knock comes to an end. It was the low full toss and Hafeez tries to whip it over the on side field but top edges it to the on side. Rosco, at midwicket, moves to his left to take it. Good knock from Hafeez. His maiden ton. Just ahead of the WC. Purrfect timing.. 202/5

1.3 to Ahmed Shehzad, Caught at second slip! There has been no major seam movement so far and even this delivery just straightens. It landed on a good length outside off and straightened, Shehzad wafted away from the body and got a thick edge. 2/1 3.1 to Kamran Akmal, Dragged on! It landed short of length outside off stump and moved back in a bit. Nothing alarming, just a little bit. Akmal saw the width and shaped for his punchy forcing shot through the off side. Did the ball stop on him a touch? He seemed to have pushed at it early, and the bat came down in an angle, and got a fatal inside edge. The leg stump is pegged back. He wasn't in great position to play that shot.. 8/2

47.6 to Umar Akmal, shuffles across to outside off and tries to paddle it but misses. The off stump is pegged back. Good hand from Umar, though. Pakistan look so good when the top order gives them a solid base and the dangerous men lurking in the lower order are given a free licence to hit. That's how they played in 80's. And they continue to do it in some style even now. 271/6 49.2 to Shahid Afridi, Fine catch from Brendon. It was the good-length delivery cutting into Afridi who went for the pull but got an inside edge. Baz dives to his left to pluck it with his left hand. Murderous innings from Afridi ends. It was immense fun to watch.. 288/7

13.3 to Younis Khan, gone! What was Younis doing there? He appeared to have made his mind up there, came down the track before it was delivered and failed to pick the change in pace, it was the slower one, went through with his attempted loft over mid-on, mistimed and was caught comfortably. 56/3

7.4 to JM How, A slower one and short in length as well. Jamie sees the length and goes for the pull but is done in by the lack of pace. He holes out to deep midwicket. Pakistan fielders erupt in joy, Jamie looks back ruefully as he trudges off. 44/1 42.5 to JDP Oram, It was full and on the legs, Oram goes for the swat-flick and it balloons down to deep backward square-leg where Hafeez ran in and lunged forward to take it. The catching has been good today. Pakistan inch close. 210/7

14.5 to MJ Guptill, Caught or grounded? is the question. Replays suggest it was a clean catch . Guptill has to go, after he gets confirmation from the third umpire. Guptill pressed back to punch it away from the body and Shehzad dived forward full towards the ball at point to pouch it. Smart catch. 80 for 3 and NZ are wobbling here. The umpires have told the batsman to wait. They go upstairs. Shehzad dived forward, caught the ball cleanly above the ground and the question is when he landed did the ball touch the ground. But the right palm came under the ball at that point and the ball doesn't seem to have touched the ground. Out!. 80/3 36.2 to KS Williamson, Castled! It was the slower one, on the middle, from a back of length, Kane had to wait on that front foot, he then tried to swat it across the line but edged it back on to his stumps. 179/5
10 | 0 | 31 | 2 | 3.10 | 38 | 2 | 0 | 2 | 0 | |
11.4 to LRPL Taylor, Younis takes a neat catch at first slip. It was a probing delivery that landed on a good length outside off and straightened. Rosco got forward to defend and ended up stabbing it to left of Younis who lunges low to pouch it.. 67/2 43.4 to LJ Woodcock, Yorked! Thanks for coming. A Gul special. Woodcock tried to bring bat down in a hurry to get some wood on leather but couldn't do it in time. Clatter! The middle stump tilts back. 217/8
10 | 0 | 45 | 1 | 4.50 | 24 | 0 | 1 | 1 | 0 | |
46.6 to KD Mills, Nine down. It was slower and flighted up, Mills ended up miscuing it high in the air and long-off moves into the 30-yard circle to take it. Pakistan on the verge. 232/9
5 | 0 | 25 | 1 | 5.00 | 11 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | |
33.1 to SB Styris, Nice catch from Umar Akmal. Is that the game-breaking blow? Styris connected with the slog sweep and the white ball seemed to be soaring over midwicket boundary. Umar stationed himself just inside the boundary, hopped back to reach above him and plucked it. He then looks back to see whether his feet are safe inside the line. They are. Out!. 161/4
