0.1 to RMVD Gunaratne, pitched up and pinned in front first ball! That's plumb, Guna's a goner! Full enough and sliding in towards the poles with Gunarathne shuffling across. She misses, and Brunt hits the spot. Easy decision for Jacqueline Wilson, perfect start to CWG cricket for England. 0/1
311023.33141020
13.2 to NND Silva, carved in the air, straight to point! Wong's heat is too much for de Silva, looking to go up and over cover but ends up skewing a simple catch to the edge of the ring. Decent effort from de Silva but her dismissal extends the SL slump. 74/5
13.6 to MAA Sanjeewani, short, feisty and edged to the keeper! Banged in outside off at 118kph and Sanjeewani can only flail a deflection through to Jones as she takes on the pull. Double-wicket maiden for Wong, enjoying this outing at her manor. 74/6

5.3 to GWHM Perera, aggression brings Perera down! Thumped back at the bowler, and Ecclestone takes a nonchalant catch! Struck firmly but straight at the England spinner, who stuck up both paws and clung on without drama. SL lose their second wicket inside the powerplay. 33/2
19.3 to OU Ranasinghe, reverses again, caught off the back of the bat! Ungainly in the end, though full marks for enterprise. Swiped across the line but the ball looped up a few yards to the left of the keeper, for Jones to complete a simple dismissal. 104/8
19.5 to BMSM Kumari, bowled 'er! Slung down and skidding into off stump, past a wild sweep from Kumari. SL could still get bowled out here. 105/9
401914.75120030
16.2 to KADA Kanchana, skied to mid-off! Kanchana looked to go big but the shot went straight up. Came down with snow on it, but Brunt steadied herself beneath the ball and clung on, falling to her backside after completing the catch. 84/7

7.1 to AMCJK Athapaththu, Kemp strikes first ball! And it's the big wicket, Athapaththu castled by the left-armer! Perfect length, hit the seam and straightened a fraction, past the bat into the top of off. Second case of immediate success for an England bowler today, and that dismissal means SL face an uphill task from here. 38/3
11.2 to WK Dilhari, chipped into the hands of short cover! The golden arm of Kemp does it again, enticing an uppish drive that loops tamely to Capsey, her fellow 17-year-old. Wasn't quite there for the shot, and Dilhari perishes. 63/4

1.4 to DN Wyatt, goes hard but it comes off the toe of the bat - superbly caught at mid-off! Kanchana had to backpedal and then take the ball on the turn, as it dropped over her shoulder, but she makes no mistake. Big roar of celebration, SL have an early breakthrough. 11/1
3.6 to SIR Dunkley, timbaaaaaaaaaahhhh! Slows it right down, Dunkley gets bored of waiting for the ball and heaves across the line, only to be bowled middle stump. Ranasinghe has chipped out both openers to give SL hope. 26/2
1010010.0032010

8.3 to NR Sciver, hit on the front pad - given! Sciver has a chat with Capsey and then reviews. Looked pretty adjacent, straightening just a touch from round the wicket. Did it do enough to hit leg stump? Definitely no bat involved, here with go with ball-tracking: clattering leg! Big breakthrough for SL, the dangerous Sciver removed and England still only halfway to their target. 57/3
10.1 to AE Jones, hacked off a thick outside edge to point! Jones looks aghast, but she never got hold of that shot. Tossed up and skewed high into the off side, where Kumari holds a safe catch. SL scrapping away. 63/4
16.6 to A Capsey, Capsey is stumped with two needed! Looking to come down and finish it but walks straight past the ball, leaving Sanjeewani to complete the dismissal. 105/5
