1.5 to N Dickwella, Behrendorff gets the Kings rolling by rattling Dickwella's stumps. This is a length ball angled into middle and off. The previous ball is still playing on Dickwella's mind and he plays all around this one and the bails go flying. The bowler is pumped.. 8/1 3.6 to AD Hales, another one for Behrendorff, and DDS takes a stunner, even if he fumbles it first. Hales backs away and tries to launch a fullish ball on the stumps over extra cover. All he does is send it miles into the air, however, and DDS tracks back from cover to get under that one, looking over his shoulder. He makes the ground smartly, but slips as the ball comes back, and it initially bounces out of the hands, but he manages to hold the rebound. 6.5 to J Liyanage, dolly of a catch for Fabian Allen at cover. What is going on here? Marvels have struck only one boundary, but have now lost their third. This is a short ball wide of off, gets up to about midriff height. Liyanage initially attempts to drag this to leg with a cross-batted shot, but bails on the shot halfway, and ends up top-edging it to Allen. Didn't fully commit to it. And he should have been thinking of hitting to the offside anyway.. 24/3 12.1 to TL Seifert, hits the top of off with one that stays low. Seifert just seemed to be hitting top gear, but Asitha has rolled his fingers over this one, and Seifert's attempted hack through the legside only swishes through air above the actual trajectory of the ball, and off bail goes flying. 86/4 18.6 to PBB Rajapaksa, yorker that smashes the base of leg stump! This is a consequential blow with one over to go. This is not quite the perfect yorker (its a super low full toss that pitches about 20cm short of the stumps), but what matters is that it is good enough to make Rajapaksa miss. He had tried to flick that through leg but falls over it a bit. The end to a truly outstanding finals innings.. 172/6 | ||||||||||
