Kolkata Knight Riders 200 for 6 (Venkatesh 60, Raghuvanshi 50) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad 120 (Klaasen 33, Arora 3-29, Varun 3-22) by 80 runs
While Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) regained the dazzling batting form they had lost somewhere on their trip to Mumbai, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batting continued to be lackluster as they slumped to their third loss in a row after starting IPL 2025 with a mammoth 286. Four days after being skittled for 116 by Mumbai Indians, KKR posted a stiff 200 for 6, led by a 29-ball 60 from vice-captain Venkatesh Iyer and an unbeaten 17-ball 32 from Rinku Singh. Venkatesh and Rinku enabled KKR to finish with a bang - they scored 78 runs in their last five overs - after Ajinkya Rahane and Angkrish Raghuvanshi set things up with a third-wicket stand of 81.
SRH were punished for being sloppy in the field more than a few times, and managed just 120 in reply after the KKR quicks took their mighty top three down in just 13 balls. Last year's runners-up slumped to the bottom of the table while the defending champions jumped five places from last to fifth.

Gujarat Titans 170 for 2 (Buttler 73*, Sudharsan 49, Rutherford 30*, Bhuvneshwar 1-23) beat Royal Challengers Bengaluru 169 for 8 (Livingstone 54, Jitesh 33, David 32, Siraj 3-19) by eight wickets
Mohammed Siraj's fiery 3 for 19 against his former team, backed up by Jos Buttler's unbeaten 73 off 39 balls, helped Gujarat Titans (GT) spoil Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)'s homecoming and coast to an eight-wicket victory at the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
Playing against RCB for the first time after seven years with them, Siraj returned to Bengaluru with a point to prove. Bowling at speeds in excess of 140kph, he rattled the batters in the powerplay and also picked up a key wicket in the death overs. Despite Siraj's efforts, RCB notched up 169 for 8, riding largely on Liam Livingstone's fifty and cameos from Jitesh Sharma and Tim David.

Sianna Ginger takes five wickets as hosts reassert dominance after T20I series loss

Australia A 215 for 5 (Voll 137*, Villiers 3-28) beat England A 214 for 9 (Scrivens 43, Armitage 43, Ginger 5-35) by five wickets

Voll, 21, missed the recent T20I leg of the tour - which England A won 1-0, after victory in the opening match followed by two wash-outs - as she was playing for Australia's senior team in New Zealand, where she returned scores of 50, 36 and 75 in their three T20I victories.

New Zealand 292 for 8 (Hay 99*, Abbas 41, Muqeem 2-33) beat Pakistan 208 all out (Ashraf 73, Naseem 35, Sears 5-59) by 84 runs
An unbeaten 99 from Mitchell Hay and a fearsome collective spell of fast bowling from New Zealand blew Pakistan away, inflicting an 84-run defeat as New Zealand sealed the series 2-0. Pakistan pulled New Zealand back in the first innings thanks to an unerring and penetrative spell from their spinner Sufiyan Muqeem before their death bowling failed them once more. Set 293 to keep the series alive, the contest became a formality within the first 12 overs as Pakistan lost their top half for 32.
Under cloudy skies in Hamilton, Rizwan won the toss once more and decided to put New Zealand in again, hoping a green surface would yield early wickets for his seam bowlers. Instead, New Zealand's openers Rhys Mariu and Nick Kelly - with a combined solitary ODI between them - flew out of the blocks. Pakistan were errant in their discipline once more with eight wides in the first four overs, but New Zealand set the tone with 11 off Akif Javed's first over. Another 12 off his second meant New Kelly and Mariu needed just six overs to bring up the 50-partnership, Pakistan having squandered promising bowling conditions in the first half-hour.

Prabhsimran and Iyer see LSG off with ease

Punjab Kings secured their second win in two matches having restricted their opponents to 171

Punjab Kings 177 for 2 (Prabhsimran 69, Iyer 52*, Rathi 2-30) beat Lucknow Super Giants 171 for 7 (Pooran 44, Badoni 41, Arshdeep 3-43) by eight wickets
Punjab Kings (PBKS) bossed both the powerplays en route to their second successive win in IPL 2025. After opting to bowl on a fairly two-paced red-soil pitch, they left Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at 39 for 3 in six overs. Abdul Samad and Ayush Badoni helped LSG overcome that poor start and post 171 for 7, which was a par score according to Nicholas Pooran, the holder of the orange cap.
Pooran's assessment, however, might have changed quickly after Prabhsimran Singh clattered a 23-ball half-century in the chase. Prabhsimran claimed 45 of the 62 runs PBKS had scored in the powerplay. There would be no way back for LSG, who suffered their second defeat in three games. Shreyas Iyer completed PBKS' demolition job with an unbeaten 52 off 30 balls.

Rajasthan Royals 182 for 9 (Rana 81, Parag 37, Noor 2-28, Pathirana 2-28) beat Chennai Super Kings 176 for 6 (Gaikwad 63, Hasaranga 4-35) by six runs
A blistering assault from Nitish Rana and Wanindu Hasaranga's clever wristspin bowling handed Rajasthan Royals (RR) their first win and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) their second successive defeat in IPL 2025.
After Rana crashed 81 off 36 balls, joining RR's fastest half-centurions, Ruturaj Gaikwad anchored CSK's chase of 183 with a fifty of his own. But Hasaranga's variations, especially the wrong'un, exposed CSK's soft underbelly and put the target beyond their reach.

Delhi Capitals 166 for 3 (du Plessis 50, Fraser-McGurk 38, Porel 34*, Ansari 3-42) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad 163 (Aniket 74, Starc 5-35, Kuldeep 3-22) by seven wickets
Mitchell Starc's T20 best powered Delhi Capitals (DC) to a second straight win in Vizag as Sunrisers Hyderabad's (SRH) all-out approach backfired for the second time in two games.
Faf du Plessis then set the tempo for the chase with a half-century and despite Zeeshan Ansari's three quick wickets on his T20 return after six years, DC's strong 81-run opening stand set up an easy win in 16 overs with seven wickets in hand.

Gujarat Titans 196 for 8 (Sudharsan 63, Buttler 39, Gill 38, Hardik 2-29) vs Mumbai Indians 160 for 6 (Suryakumar 48, Tilak 39, Prasidh 2-18, Siraj 2-34) by 36 runs
On a black-soil pitch in Ahmedabad where 180 was expected to be the par score, Gujarat Titans (GT) posted 196 for 8 after being put in. It proved to be 36 too many for Mumbai Indians (MI), who, despite Hardik Pandya's return after an over-rate ban, were found lacking in all three departments.
While it was not a perfect game for GT either, they did most things right, including selecting a slow surface for this game, as their assistant and batting coach Parthiv Patel revealed during an in-game interview. Their main concern seemed to be B Sai Sudharsan leaving the field clutching his left hamstring after a diving effort. But Shubman Gill later said that it was merely cramps.

Carey's innings was a masterclass in rotating the strike under pressure. His 105 came off just 132 balls with only nine fours and a six.
