Liam Scott, Josh Philippe and Mitchell Perry turned the screws on Sri Lanka A on day three to put Australia A in command of the four-day game at Darwin's Marrara Oval.
After the hosts resumed on Tuesday on 241 for 4 in reply to Sri Lanka A's 272 - and lost Nathan McSweeney to the day's first ball for 94 - batters six, seven and eight completed impressive half centuries to build Australia A a formidable first-innings score.

There was a feeling that the stars had aligned for Mitchell Starc, playing his 100th Test with the pink ball he has so often dominated with, but few could have imagined the carnage that unfolded on the third day at Sabina Park as he claimed three wickets in his first over and the quickest five-wicket haul in Test history including his 400th.
Yet that was not the end of it. Scott Boland claimed a hat-trick, removing Justin Greaves, Shamar Joseph and Jomel Warrican, leaving West Indies 26 for 9 and in danger of equaling the lowest-ever Test total - made by New Zealand against England in 1955. They edged past it courtesy of a Sam Konstas misfield in the gully, but only by one run when Starc ended the Text next ball to finish with a career-best 6 for 9. West Indies were all out in 14.3 overs.

India lead England by 229 after three days of the Under-19 test at Beckenham, having reached 128 for three in their second innings, after bowling the hosts out for 439.
England's Ekansh Singh made 59 and Ralphie Albert hit 50, while Henil Patel had India's best figures with three for 81. 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi showed his all-round potential with two for 35 and RS Ambrish took two for 81.

Six years ago, Ben Stokes raised his hands in apology. Now he was clenching his fists in triumph. On the anniversary of the day when he made England world champions, he found them a route to victory again. It felt like he couldn't rest without it.
He bowled seven overs with the second new ball on Saturday, and the coach Brendon McCullum dispatched a member of his staff down to the boundary line to remind him that he is still flesh and bone. On Monday, nobody dared to interfere. Stokes pushed through a 9.2-over spell, came back to deliver a 10-over spell and was essentially such a lord and master of proceedings that a member of the opposition felt the need to ask his permission for a bathroom break.

Nathan McSweeney gave the national selectors a reminder of his worth with a determined 94 not out to lead Australia A to a strong position in their four-day game against Sri Lanka A in Darwin.
McSweeney and Liam Scott took Australia A to 241 for 4 at stumps on day two after the visitors made 272 when asked to bat first at Marrara Oval.

It's just not getting any easier for Zimbabwe. After suffering two heavy defeats to South Africa in the Tests, they opened their T20I triangular series, which also includes New Zealand, with a loss. It was Zimbabwe's sixth successive T20I defeat to South Africa, against whom they are yet to register a win after two other games between the sides produced no results.
South Africa, playing in their first T20I this year - and first under Shukri Conrad since he was named all-format coach - will be pleased with their early outing. Chasing 142, they wobbled at 38 for 3, but debutant Rubin Hermann top-scored with 45, and shared in a 72-run fourth-wicket stand with Dewald Brevis, who contributed 41 off just 17 balls. Corbin Bosch finished things off with an unbeaten 23 off 15 deliveries.

Sarah Glenn and Cassidy McCarthy stifled Essex's batting as The Blaze successfully defended 139 at Chelmsford to seal their place at Women's Vitality Blast Finals Day.
England legspinner Glenn finished with figures of 3 for 17, following seamer McCarthy's 1 for 8 from three overs up top and skipper Kirstie Gordon weighed in with 4 for 23, including two wickets in as many balls. Those efforts all helped to ensure Essex were restricted to just 104 for 9 in reply - and the home side's defeat leaves them only a remote mathematical chance of joining The Blaze in the last four.

It went down to the last over: 12 to get from six balls for either MI New York or Washington Freedom to win their second MLC title. Rushil Ugarkar, a 22-year-old USA medium pacer who has never played international cricket, had the ball. Across him, Glenn Maxwell, to start with, and Glenn Phillips. Two white-ball superstars. But all Ugarkar conceded was six. And he sent back Maxwell with a slower offcutter, allowed Phillips strike for just one ball, and won MINY the title when everything was stacked against him.
Till that over started, the momentum was very much with Freedom and it was chiefly down to Phillips. At the end of the 17th over, in which Trent Boult had conceded just seven runs to Phillips and Maxwell, and Phillips was 25 from 27, the asking rate was upwards of 13 an over. But Phillips targeted Tristan Luus and Boult in back-to-back overs. He took Luus for two sixes in the 17-run 18th over, and Boult for one more in the next, which went for 12, making it a potentially gripping last over. But he got to face just one ball from Ugarkar, who bowled a set of six cutters to spark the celebrations in the MINY camp.

Imran Tahir's four-wicket haul outshone Kaleem Sana's efforts as Guyana Amazon Warriors clinched a comprehensive 57-run win against Dubai Capitals, moving to the top of the table in the Global Super League, in Guyana.
After being sent in to bat, Amazon Warriors posted 138 for 7, before their bowlers delivered a clinical performance to bowl out Capitals for just 81 in 15.4 overs.

West Indies' pace bowlers surged under lights on the second day at Sabina Park as the Test moved at a breakneck speed, with Australia stumbling to 99 for 6 amid a torrid working over in some of the toughest conditions imaginable.
Sam Konstas' miserable series ended with a duck, leaving his Test prospects for the Ashes in jeopardy. Cameron Green, on the other hand, played outstandingly for an innings worth far more than the 42 on the scoreboard, although he could have been run out on 14. By the close of another hectic day, which saw 15 wickets fall, Australia held a lead of 181 which was already considerable in the conditions, but West Indies had given themselves a glimmer.
