Franklin, MacDonald-Gay spark Surrey victory

Duo share seven wickets as Lancashire collapse

Surrey 171 for 9 (Harris 57, Scholfield 37) beat Lancashire 118 (Lamb 64, Threlkeld 32, MacDonald-Gay 4-14, Franklin 3-19) by 53 runs
Ryana MacDonald-Gay and Phoebe Franklin shared seven wickets to spark a Lancashire collapse and lead Surrey to a 53-run victory at the Oval - their seventh win in eight games.
Franklin's 3 for 19 and MacDonald-Gay's 4 for 14 wrestled back control as the visitors crumbled from 102 for 3 to 118 all out chasing 172 for victory. Their heroics followed a 70-run stand between Emma Lamb, who scored 64 off 46 balls, and Ellie Threlkeld (32) which threatened to snatch an unlikely win for the Red Rose county.

Sri Lanka claw back after Mushfiqur 163, Litton 90

Rain and a late collapse saw the hosts work their way back into the contest

Bangladesh 484 for 9 (Mushfiqur 163, Shanto 148, Das 90, Rathnayake 3-38, Asitha 3-30) vs Sri Lanka
Mushfiqur Rahim, Najmul Hossain Shanto and Litton Das scored 401 runs among them, but the complexion of the game changed after a two-hour rain interruption as Sri Lanka came roaring back late in the day, to leave Bangladesh on 484 for 9 at stumps of day two in Galle.
It meant the 20.4 overs bowled in the final session saw five wickets fall for 61 runs, and resulted in a dramatic Bangladesh collapse following two mammoth back-to-back stands - 264 and 149 - between Shanto and Mushfiqur, and then Mushfiqur and Litton.

Brits 101, Wolvaardt 75, Klaas four-for give SA series win

West Indies never recovered from their score of 40 for 6 in their revised chase of 288

South Africa 278 for 6 (Brits 101, Wolvaardt 75, Fletcher 3-53) beat West Indies 121 (Claxton 43, Alleyne 32, Klaas 4-25) by 166 runs (DLS method)
A commanding opening stand of 184 led by Tazmin Brits' century, later followed by Masabata Klaas' four-wicket haul gave South Africa a series win with a comprehensive 166-run victory in the decider as they beat West Indies by DLS method in Cave Hill. Klaas took three wickets in her first two overs, which left West Indies reeling on 40 for 6 in pursuit of their revised target of 288, and the hosts were eventually bundled for 121 in the rain-affected match.
West Indies had little to feel good about their toss decision to bowl first. They could not get a wicket for 26.1 overs and the opening stand between Brits and the captain Laura Wolvaardt was South Africa's tied-fifth-highest in WODI history and came at a run-rate of more than seven.

Lamichhane bags four wickets as Nepal pip Scotland in low-scoring thriller

After taking four wickets, he scored the winning run in the chase as Nepal won with one ball to spare

Nepal 98 for 8 (Bhurtel 30, Sharfi 2-13, Leask 2-21) beat Scotland 97 (Leask 46, Lamichhane 4-11, Karan KC 2-20) by two wickets
After an unprecedented three Super Overs were needed to decide the winner between Nepal and Netherlands on Monday, Nepal and Scotland threatened another Super-Over finish in Glasgow on Tuesday. It came down to Nepal needing four off six balls, with three wickets in hand. After picking off singles off the first three balls, Kiran Thagunna fell for 10 off 16 balls, leaving Nepal needing one off the last two balls. Sandeep Lamichhane, who had bagged figures of 4-1-11-4 earlier in the day, found a single to finish it off with one ball to spare.
Having suffered a heartbreaking defeat against Netherlands, Nepal adjusted fairly well to the quick turnaround, skittling Scotland for 97 in 19.4 overs, their second-lowest T20I total at home. In 2018, in Edinburgh, they had been dismissed for 82 against Pakistan.

TSK bundle Seattle Orcas for 60 for third straight win

Zia-ul-Haq, Nandre Burger and Noor Ahmad picked up three wickets apiece on a pitch with variable bounce to hand Orcas their second successive loss

Texas Super Kings 153 for 6 (Mukkamalla 30, Harmeet 2-24, Jasdeep 2-34) beat Seattle Orcas 60 (Jones 17, Burger 3-10, Zia 3-16, Noor 3-18) by 93 runs
Texas Super Kings romped to their third successive victory while Seattle Orcas suffered their second loss in a row in MLC 2025 as TSK bundled Orcas for just 60 on a pitch that had variable bounce in Oakland. Orcas were chasing a modest target of 154 but never looked like getting even close to it after they were reduced to 21 for 5 in five overs by the TSK quicks and were eventually bowled out in 13.5 overs for a 93-run thrashing.
Orcas openers couldn't replicate their strong opening stand from their opening game and fell within the space of seven balls. Kyle Mayers spooned an easy catch to cover point off Nandre Burger and David Warner was sent back by an excellent diving catch from Faf du Plessis towards cover off left-arm quick Zia-ul-Haq. Steven Taylor also miscued Burger but it was Zia who dented the chase with a massive double blow in the fifth over when he yorked captain Heinrich Klaasen for a duck and had the experienced Sikandar Raza feather behind a short delivery to leave Orcas five down.
