Brandon Glover

A Dutch-South African fast bowler, Brandon Glover left South Africa after a call from Netherlands coach Ryan Campbell, who convinced him to put his Dutch passport to good use after he had finished his accounting degree. He had played Under-19 cricket for South Africa, but was enticed by the opportunity to play regular international cricket, and starred at the T20 World Cup Qualifier in late 2019, bowling hard lengths into the pitch at high pace.

Chris Liddle had worked with the squad as a bowling coach during that competition, and when he earned the same role at Northamptonshire ahead of the 2020 season, Glover arrived shortly after on his recommendation, playing as a local player through the EU settlement scheme. A solid showing in the T20 Blast in his first season earned him a deal with the Oval Invincibles for the inaugural season of the Hundred in 2021.
