Justin Kreusch was a schoolboy all-round prodigy at Queens College, the same school that gave cricket talents of the calibre of Tony Greig and Darryl Cullinan. Runs, wickets and catches seemed his for the taking as he rose through the ranks to captain the Border B team with considerable success. But his path to the top was complicated when, aged just 23, he was appointed captain of the senior Border team in 2003-04, the summer before the franchise system was implemented. He was demoted after just one season at the helm, but that scalding experience hasn't stopped him from fulfilling his talent as one of the most respected and dependable players on the domestic scene.
