Jaydev Unadkat - Left shoulder. Ruled out of IPL on May 3. Super Giants have brought in Suryansh Shedge as his replacement for the remainder of the tournament (announced on May 18).

Mohsin Khan - shoulder. To miss majority of the season.

Rajat Patidar - heel injury. Out of the season. Replaced by Vijaykumar Vyshak.

Will Jacks - muscle injury. Replaced by Michael Bracewell.

Josh Hazlewood - Achilles tendonitis. To miss initial part of season.

Reece Topley - Shoulder. Ruled out of the tournament after dislocating his shoulder in the first match. Replaced by Wayne Parnell.

David Willey - Ruled out with a toe injury on May 1 and replaced by Kedar Jadhav.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti - ruled out of the tournament on April 23 with a lower back stress fracture; replaced by Priyam Garg for his base price of INR 20 lakh.

Rishabh Pant - multiple injuries. Set to be replaced by Abhishek Porel

Abhishek Sharma - "Still coming back from an injury and needs a bit more time," according to captain Aiden Markram.

Kane Williamson - Knee injury. Ruled out of the tournament; replaced by Dasun Shanaka.

Prasidh Krishna - lumbar stress fracture. Replaced by Sandeep Sharma.

Jonny Bairstow - left leg. Replaced by Matthew Short.

Liam Livingstone - knee. To miss opening game vs Knight Riders on April 1.

Raj Bawa - left shoulder injury. Pace-bowling Punjab allrounder Gurnoor Brar has been signed as a replacement for INR 20 lakh (USD 24,000 approx.).

Jasprit Bumrah - back. To miss entire the season, replaced by Sandeep Warrier.

Jhye Richardson - To miss entire season with a hamstring injury. Replaced by Riley Meredith.

Shreyas Iyer - lower back. To miss the entire season.
