W
Vettori to Rankin, OUT

The bearded Vettori comes up with a yorker to wrap up a big win. Full, quick and on the middle and off stump line. It beat the hurried waft and rammed into the front boot. It would have pegged back the middle stump. NZ win by 129 runs.

Ricky has a query: "will Vettori be on a Hat-trick for the next NZ match, since he did not get to bowl a 3rd ball to get it in this match?"

Nope. It doesn't carry on to the next game.

This is Sriram Veera signing off. Coming up tomorrow: South Africa v West Indies. Hopefully, it will be a cracker of a contest. Join us then.

Vettori to McCallan, OUT

castled. McCallan goes down the track and yorks himself as Vettori pushed that one through quick. The ball goes under the bat and he must have heard the death rattle. Although it appeared that he didn't hear it as he was trying to get back into the crease. He saw the damage and walked back to the pavilion

Vettori to Gillespie, OUT

Taufel agrees this time. Drifts in the air, lands on the middle stump line and straightens. Gillespie thrusts his left leg across and gets in a tangle as a result. He is unable to bring the bat around his front pad and is struck in front of the middle. Plumb.

huge shout for lbw. not given by Taufel. That's close. Drifts in from round the stumps, goes on with the arm to strike him in front of off stump. It was crashing into the furniture. Taufel must have thought it must have hit him outside off stump

Pallav, from the USA, is supporting the black caps. "I am tipping New Zealand to win this world cup. They have always been a great team to watch but unlike South Africa have that extra bit to go all the way ... go Kiwis!"

Patel to Johnston, OUT

Done in by the pace. Patel fires that one in, lands outside off stump, turns in and Johnston is surprised by the pace. The bat comes down late and in an angle at that and he is caught in front. It would have taken out leg stump.
