1.3 to M Klinger, Gone! Klinger's had enough of waiting for a bad ball. He chose to charge out of the crease and thwack a ball that wasn't there for the drive into the off side. Doesn't work, he hits it flat and straight to mid-off, who does well to cling on with fingers pointing upwards.. 5/1 3.1 to JD Smith, McD has his man! Again, it is that nagging length that's not there for the drive. McDermott also gets it to nip in subtly off the seam. Smith didn't account for the movement and ended up inside edging, and it barely carries low to the keeper.. 24/2 18.4 to MG Neser, McDermott gets his man this time, another slap attempted into the off side results in a catch.. 171/7

4 | 0 | 37 | 2 | 9.25 | 9 | 2 | 3 | 0 | 0 | |
4.3 to TP Ludeman, Ludeman's short and sweet stay is over. Not the best choice of stroke as he looks to stay on the front foot and fly-swat a short, sharp delivery over the leg side. The top edge is inevitably taken, and the catch loops tamely into mid-on's hands.. 34/3 14.4 to CJ Ferguson, He falls immediately after getting to his second BBL 50. Length ball on off, and Ferguson did really well to time it as well as he did. He made room and cracked it cleanly over the off side, but it landed in deep cover's hands.. 116/5

11.5 to NJ Reardon, Perera strikes! Reardon has scored most of his runs in the leg side, and ends up perishing in that area. Perera bowls a normal delivery this time, full and straight, seam-up. Rearon tries to loft it over midwicket, but it goes higher than he'd have liked and not far enough.. 90/4 17.4 to KA Pollard, Perera gets Pollard just in time. Another couple of overs of this, and it could have been game over. Slower ball outside off, short of a length and Pollard top-edges it high and it ends in the keeper's hands.. 163/6 19.3 to KW Richardson, and a wicket. Perera's bowled really smartly today. Another short ball, Richardson gets into a tangle with the pull shot and drags it onto the timber.. 180/8 |

16.1 to DT Christian, he's through him. Richardson's wound one through Christian's defences, off a convenient inside edge. Full, tailing in slightly and pacy. Christian swipes across the line and the stumps light up behind him.. 150/5

1.4 to JR Hopes, Botha has his man, he's celebrating the lbw even before the finger's gone up! Front of the hanf variation, full and landing around off stump, it angles in towards the stumps as Hopes plants the front foot down and looks to sweep. He misses and it thuds into the pads in front of middle. Goner.. 6/1

12.1 to LA Pomersbach, catch it this time... catch is this time... Has he taken it? Looks like he has. Richardson is the man at long-off. He had to run back, adjust and be aware of the rope. He managed to do some tight-rope tap dancing there to hold on. Well bowled, gets Pomersbach to mishit for a change and he's gone. Big wicket.. 113/3

11.1 to JA Burns, Gone. Some inexplicably nerves seem to have crept into the batting in the last couple of overs. Burns is thoroughly beaten by the slower ball, is early on the slap over the leg side. The ball was shorter and much slower than he anticipated, and it ended a tame catch to midwicket.. 105/2 13.3 to NLTC Perera, Is that Ludeman, or is that a rampant salmon? Slower ball, Thisara looks to murder it down the ground and gets a thin outside edge. The ball loops towards a non-existent second slip. Ludeman makes a lot of ground and takes off to pluck it mid-air. Super take, he was fully horizontal when he took it, with one hand grotesquely shooting up above to take the catch.. 129/4 |
